Low Country

I grew up in Kansas and one of the features of my childhood was riding around in pick-up trucks listening to country music. I was in denial for many years about the impact this had on my own songwriting. But it’s undeniable that the song structures of Hank Williams Snr and Willy Nelson permeate my own work. I love a well-worn story woven into the fabric of a song and it’s possible I was penning country songs in the guise of super alternative rock and electronic sonic experiments the whole time. So here are a few of those songs under the nominal title “Low Country”.
