Whilst at art college I began peforming my own original songs at coffee shops and eventually formed my own band. The Aztechs played an alternative style of rock supporting Soundgarden, Soul Asylum, Robyn Hitchcock, Alex Chiton, Fishbone and myriad of other independent late 80's rock illuminati who were touring the midwestern university music scene at the time. I will be digging deep into the archive and posting more tracks from this period of my life soon. One of the former members has posted a live track online that I think you'll enjoy. Thank goodness I hung on to that old cassette deck!
